From sleepless nights to constant overwhelm, here’s how hypnosis is helping women reset faster than ever, skipping the struggle & going straight to transformation.

It’s the first morning of your long-awaited holiday. For the past few days you’ve rushed to finish projects, cleared your inbox, packed for the family and finally, you’re free. Instead of waking up refreshed, you wake up with a strong headache. Your body is screaming stop but your mind is still racing and it’s not the first time you’ve seen this pattern.
Or maybe it’s 2 a.m. and you’re wide awake, replaying the same worry for the tenth time. You tell yourself to stop thinking, to just breathe, you try to apply the techniques you’ve learnt over the years but your mind won’t switch off. By morning, you’re exhausted and the cycle starts again.
If this feels familiar, you’re in good company. More than 1 billion people worldwide live with anxiety, depression and disconnection. The World Health Organization estimates one in six people are living with the consequences of loneliness and stress, with women among the most affected. Women are often taught to please, to hold it together and to care for others before themselves. This makes disconnection from their own needs almost inevitable…
We live in a time of constant connection, yet many of us feel deeply disconnected from others and most especially, from ourselves. On the outside, we hold it together: showing up at work, smiling at family dinners, meeting responsibilities. On the inside, it’s a different story: a racing mind, tension in the chest, exhaustion that no amount of sleep fixes. People tell you that you look calm and composed, when in reality you’re shaking inside and wondering how nobody sees it. You’re not failing anyone except yourself.
Why the old way feels so slow
When we reach this breaking point, we try the usual fixes: watching videos online, talking it out in therapy, downloading another meditation app, promising ourselves we’ll just “do better”.
These tools help some people but for many they become one more thing to keep up with and if you’re already exhausted, following through is harder than it sounds. Change feels painfully slow and frustration grows: “Why can’t I just get out of this cycle?”
I know this story well. It took me an immense amount of time to finally seek a 1-1 session. I thought I had to do it alone. Many of my clients come to me with the same story: binging on books, videos, online courses, apps, telling themselves “I need to sort this out by myself, it’s the only way to prove I am enough”. For most, the turning point comes from despair, the fear that nothing will ever change.
A different path: Hypnosis

This is where hypnosis offers a powerful and fast alternative. In minutes, hypnosis takes you into the subconscious, where your deepest beliefs and habits live.
Hypnosis is far from the myths people imagine. It’s simply a natural state of focus and relaxation where the mind becomes open to new ideas. The mind learns through repetition and emotion and hypnosis allows us to go directly to the place where unhelpful patterns were first created. That’s why Marisa Peer calls Rapid Transformational Therapy® “skipnosis” because it skips the long, surface-level work of traditional therapy and goes straight to the root of the problem and I have to say, I quite like that name.
Science is catching up with what hypnotherapists have seen for decades. An analysis found people experienced 70% greater improvement when hypnosis was added to cognitive-behavioural therapy for anxiety and depression. Over the years I’ve welcomed many clients who had completed CBT and still felt something was missing. They wanted a faster, deeper shift. Brain scans show hypnosis increases focus-related activity in the brain by up to 40%. Research also shows that 93% of people recovered in just six sessions of hypnotherapy, compared to as many as 600 sessions of psychoanalysis”.

Just 10–20 minutes of self-hypnosis a day can improve sleep, reduce stress and bring more clarity. This is why many women also notice benefits in their overall health and fertility because the whole body responds when the mind is calmer. It’s also no surprise that CEOs, athletes and leaders now call hypnosis their “secret weapon” for confidence, resilience and performance under pressure.
I first came across Marisa Peer’s work eight years ago, during one of the hardest times of my life. I was grieving a deep personal loss and the weight of it felt almost unbearable. It was actually my husband who discovered Marisa’s teachings and encouraged me to give them a try. At the time, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was a lifeline. Hypnosis gave me a way to release emotions I thought would stay with me forever. It opened a door to healing that felt both gentle and powerful. That experience didn’t just help me move through grief. It completely changed the course of my life and is the reason I do the work I do today.
I’ve seen it time and again in my own work. Women come to me disconnected, living on autopilot, surviving rather than thriving. They describe it as a ball in the stomach, pressure in the chest or migraines that return every month. One pattern I see often: sudden headaches every time they go on holiday, as if their body won’t allow them to rest unless there’s a “reason” to stop. It’s as though the subconscious is saying, “Better to be sick than to be seen doing nothing”. Through hypnosis, these women begin to understand the language of their body. They find clarity, confidence and the strength to set healthy boundaries. For the first time in years, they feel empowered instead of drained.
For women navigating fertility challenges, hypnosis helps them reconnect with their bodies and release the obsession with “the one outcome”. They rediscover what they love about themselves and their lives, creating space in their mind and body for new possibilities to come in.
A new way forward

For so long, we’ve been told that change takes years of weekly sessions. That willpower is the only way forward. Or worse, that we have to handle everything alone. Hypnosis shows a different truth: quick, deep shifts are possible when you work with the subconscious, the very place where those limiting beliefs were created in the first place. You don’t need more willpower. You need access to the part of your mind that runs the show.
Hypnosis is not about fixing you. It’s about freeing you. It’s about freedom of choice. Freedom from old patterns. Freedom to rest without guilt. Freedom to trust yourself again.
If you’re navigating stress, overwhelm or self-doubt, hypnosis may be the fastest way home to yourself. In just minutes, your mind can shift from chaos to clarity and when that happens, everything else in life begins to flow.
If you’d like to experience this, I’d love to gift you a guided hypnosis audio for stress relief. Simply send me a message with the words “stress relief audio” and I’ll be happy to share it with you at annemarie@freeinfertility.com.
