Exercise: Change the dialogue. They are still here and part of everything

Month 11 was about shifting the way I interacted with the world. I began structuring my week intentionally, going out on certain days, staying in on others. It helped me feel held, grounded, less overwhelmed by unpredictability.

During my Dia de los Muertos week, I realised that Chai was still guiding me. She was part of everything, my choices, my routines, my creativity, my healing. She had not left, her presence had simply changed forms.

I continued reading, writing, creating, and making space for my emotions. I allowed myself to believe she was still here with me. This was not about being stuck or unwilling to move forward.

It was about acknowledging that grief does not end at 12 months, and neither does love.

Exercise for November:

Practice living as if your loved one is still part of your routines. Not in a way that prevents growth, but in a way that honours the connection. Let them guide you.

Let their memory shape gentle actions throughout your week.
