The Beauty Of Female Energy Often Unrecognised

All too often we hear about the inequality between men and women and how the glass ceiling can feel more like an impenetrable wall. What is often less discussed is the subtle, and sometimes even underhanded battle between women, and the waste that this brings to the feminine and female energy.

We are never all one thing and therefore womanhood cannot be defined in unique or singular terms. Still there are traits, warmth, compassion and support which may embody the feminine.

You may have heard of the sometimes mocked 'trad wife' – the premise that in opposition to the modern, professional business woman, there is 'another'. One stuck in the past, and who thrives on what was once referred to as a homemaker, rather than dominating in the office or the board room.

As with womanhood, the definition of all that it is to be female is never quite so clear cut and lies way beyond employment. Indeed, many would welcome the opportunity to work not only from home, but on home tasks, at least some of the time. Some would rather raise their children than need a nanny or day care. But circumstance means that the options are not always there.

This is why it is difficult to understand the jokes, snide comments and conflict which say that one way of being a woman, is much better than another. That competition rather than mutual understanding, cohesiveness and connection matter.

In reality, everyone is trying to fit in and find their tribe.

It can also be that in the absence of 'alpha' masculine energy, there may be women who rightly stand up to the plate. Those who embody strength and wisdom. However, harm can come when this energy is used to deride other women, sometimes through belittling, backbiting or gossip. It may be in an effort to vie for power, authority or control, but it is mean, painful and a huge waste of all that is feminine.

Conversely, when women stand in their power and unite without being in battle, when they support each other, there is a holding and an uplifting. There is also a advancement of the feminine.

I have seen many examples where women have grown much stronger simply by being in a group of like-minded others. Where there were no tears shed, no soppy antidotes, but there was kindness and a word of encouragement given. This energy brought a connection far greater than I could have ever imagined.

In highlighting the beauty in another and not being afraid of it but instead welcoming it, inner healing can even occur. Hurts that have been stored up can be released as women realise that the woman before them is not their competition. She is not my enemy.

There is also an opportunity for all to rise. The mothers, the childless, the homemakers and those working outside the home, the entrepreneur and the artist.

All can thrive.
