About the Author: Daddy Shark Swim School

Neil is the principal teacher and owner of Daddy Shark Swim School! A Swim England Level 2, STA Baby & Preschool, and Autism Swim certified swim teacher, Neil has always loved swimming and all things water-related, whether that be scuba diving or kayaking. As a teenager he swam for Ormskirk Otters and City of Liverpool swimming clubs. Neil lives in Ormskirk with wife, Emma, and daughters, Erica and India. He began his adult life running “sweet shops”, as the girls called them, in Ormskirk and Liverpool. Several years back, Neil sold the shops, Emma quit her job and they took the girls around Europe in a motorhome for a year. Upon their return, Neil became a stay-at-home dad until both girls were at school. At that point, he decided to combine his natural affinity with children with his passion for swimming by becoming a swim teacher, and Daddy Shark Swim School was born. Neil is passionate about making swimming lessons accessible for children (and adults) of all abilities. He firmly believes that children should leave lessons feeling happy and empowered.
