A Gentle "How To" Guide
Menopause and perimenopause can feel like a wild alchemical process – hot flushes, insomnia, mood swings, brain fog and big questions about who you are becoming. While there is a lot of noise in the wellness world about quick fixes and supplements, I believe this transition is less about "fixing" and more about gently supporting your body, energy and emotions as they change.
Crystals are one of my favourite ways to do that. They are not gimmicks or decoration; they're part of the Earth's own magnetic field, and when you work with them intentionally they become tangible anchors for your healing journey. In my practice I see them as portals: every crystal pouch, wand or grid is a small doorway into self‑discovery and deeper connection with your own wisdom.
In this article I'll walk you through a simple, practical way to use a dedicated menopause crystal set at home. You don't have to know all the "rules" to begin – your willingness to slow down, listen to your body and create a tiny ritual for yourself is enough.
The Menopause Crystal Set
For menopausal support I work with a curated pouch set designed specifically for periods, perimenopause and menopause. This set includes:
- Selenite wand – for cleansing the mind and energy field, bringing calm and lightness.
- Pink Moonstone – to gently support hormonal shifts and emotional tides.
- Citrine – uplifting energy for confidence and clarity during dips.
- Rose Quartz – nurturing self-compassion and emotional softness.
- Blue Kyanite – encouraging honest expression and release.
- Amethyst – calming the nervous system and supporting rest.
- Lepidolite – offering steadiness through mood changes and overwhelm.
- Red Opal – grounding and revitalising your life-force through transition.
This set is designed to bring grounding when life feels unsettled, calm when emotions rise, and renewed energy when fatigue sets in. Menopause is not just an ending – it is a powerful expansion into the woman
you are becoming
Each set I offer is energetically cleansed and infused before it leaves my studio, so when someone opens the box they're not just receiving "rocks" – they're opening a little gateway into a different way of being with themselves.
A Simple Menopause Crystal Ritual
You can begin with 10–15 minutes a few times a week. Think of it as nervous‑system care rather than another task on your to‑do list.
Create a small sanctuary
- Choose a space where you won't be disturbed – the edge of your bed, a favourite chair or a cosy corner.
- Switch your phone to airplane or do‑not‑disturb
- Place your selenite wand and pouch of crystals in front of you.
Take a few slow breaths and simply acknowledge where you are in your journey: "I am entering a new phase, and I'm allowed support."

Cleanse your field with selenite
Hold the selenite wand and slowly "comb" your energy from the crown of your head down to your feet, a few inches away from the body. Imagine static, stress and heaviness melting away.
You can use a simple intention such as:
"I release what I no longer need, and I call my energy back to me."
This is especially powerful at the end of the day or after an emotional wobble.
Crystals not to be cleansed with water are Lepidolite and Selenite, instead use sage or palo Santo.
Place crystals on the ground outside to reconnect to the Earth' energy. If you do not have a garden, you can use a plant pot. As long as the crystals are connecting back into the earths soil. It returns home and re-aligns the energy.
Place the crystals on your body
Lie down or sit back comfortably. Choose three to five stones from the set and place them intuitively:
- Place the Moonstone over the womb / lower belly – to honour your cyclical body, even if your periods have stopped.
- Red Opal near the feet or base of the spine – for grounding and stability
- Rose Quartz over the heart – to soften self‑criticism and invite compassion
- Lepidolite at the third eye or beside the head on the pillow – to soothe the mind and ease anxiety
- Blue Kynaite at the throat – to support honest conversations about what you need from partners, family or colleagues
Close your eyes and rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Notice any sensations: warmth, tingling, emotion, or simply a sense of being held. There is no "right" way for this to feel.
Use crystals as anchors during hot flushes & anxiety spikes
Menopause can be intense in short, sharp bursts. Keep one or two stones from your set in a pocket, bra, bag or on your desk:
- In a hot flush, hold selenite or moonstone in one hand and red opal in the other. Imagine cool light pouring down through the crown as the heat moves safely through and out of your body.
- During racing thoughts or 3am wake‑ups, place lepidolite and amethyst or rose quartz by the bed or under your pillow as part of a "sweet dreams" style arrangement to support deeper rest.
- When you feel irritable or weepy, hold rose quartz on your heart space, breathe deeply and let yourself feel what's there, without judgement.
- To help boost your mood, spend some time with the citrine, my favourite crystal to uplift your spirits.
- The crystals become physical reminders to pause, breathe and respond kindly to yourself, rather than pushing through.
Crystal Hygiene
From an energetic‑hygiene perspective, I recommend not sharing your menopause set with others; it's deeply attuned to your body and story. To ensure your crystals are attuned to you and your needs, I advise you cleanse your set regularly.
Here are some of the ways you can do this:
- Laying the stones on a selenite plate or next to your selenite wand.
- Placing them on a windowsill in gentle daylight.
- Rinsing tumble stones in running water
- Lightly blowing over them with the intention of clearing any absorbed energy
- Or if you are a healer you can energetically clear them using your modality of choice
A Note on Safety, Sourcing & Sovereignty
Crystals are complements, not replacements, for medical care.
Always seek professional advice for symptoms that concern you, and think of your crystal work as a way to support nervous‑system regulation, sleep, mood and self‑connection alongside whatever treatment path you choose.
I also encourage people to buy from trusted healers and ethically minded suppliers, rather than anonymous marketplaces.
For me it is important to carefully source the crystals, cleansing and infusing each pouch with intention before it leaves me. I enjoy designing sets (like my menopause, new earth baby, teenage anxiety and travel buddy kits) which include clear guidance on how to use them, so you're not left guessing.
Ultimately, menopause is not a problem to be solved; it's a threshold.
Crystals won't magically erase every symptom, but they will give your hands something sacred to hold while you walk yourself through this powerful initiation.
