Mindset Tips for Success

Win in your mind reminds you to see yourself in the situation you want.  Seeing is believing! As the brain does not know the difference between what is real or imagined, visualisation is a great way to get the brain to start believing in your success. Fake it till you make it.

Having clear goals helps you keep focused when faced with challenges and obstacles. Some tools used by successful people are:

  • Vision boards
  • Journals
  • Meditation

Believing in reality reminds you that success does not happen overnight.  Achievement takes hard work, dedication, and resilience. When you have a plan to reach your goal, each step you accomplish helps build your belief in ultimate success. Trying to do everything at once is not realistic and may lead to losing belief in your goals.

Adopt Apple’s policy for success. One of Apple’s mottos is ‘just ship’ meaning that they do not wait to get things perfect before launching into the world. Start pursuing your goals and be flexible because you will learn things along the way that you may never have thought of before starting out. Could this be why we get updates to our devices so often?

Be Positive

Optimism gives us hope and builds confidence in believing that we have a good chance at succeeding at what we have set out to do.

When failures arise in the lives of optimistic people, they see these as steps towards achieving their desired outcome, rather than just a negative experience. Successful people learn from these steps and go on to achieve stated objectives.

Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb, is an example of a person who did not allow failure to stop him from achieving his goals. He never believed it was impossible and had a free will belief.

Think about which belief system you hold. Is it “free-will” or “fixed ability”? Whatever your belief, there are tools, techniques and people available to guide you towards the achievement of your goals. Building confidence and letting go of limiting beliefs are the first steps towards living as the best version of yourself.

Natasha knows first-hand how trauma, overwhelm, feeling trapped, grief and breakdown can knock us off our balance, leaving us feeling unable to make life work for us.
