Got A Cat Bite Situation?

Here's how to handle it effectively with nature's Pharmacy!

This recipe helps draw out toxins, heal the wound, and prevent infection. If an abscess is forming, the wound might look worse before it gets better – but it should improve significantly within 8 hours. If your cat is very subdued or has a fever, seek a vet immediately.

Ingredients:

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) or Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) hydrosol, distilled water and Green clay

How to Use:

  1. Make a paste with green clay using 50% thyme hydrosol and 50% distilled water.
  2. Apply generously to the wound and stop your cat from licking it for 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse with soapy or salty water, then reapply daily until the wound looks clean and healing (1-2 days).

Pro Tip: If your cat objects (because of course they will), even one application helps! Finish up with a dab of lavender hydrosol when possible.
