Reese’s Journey of Grit, Growth & Goals

Another season is in the bag, and this one has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding to date.

Reese delivered an amazing performance at Nationals. While she didn’t quite meet all the goals she set for herself, she remains her own toughest critic and rightly so, because her achievements speak volumes. She made two finals, in the 200m backstroke and the 100m butterfly, achieving a season best in the backstroke and a personal best in the 100m fly with an impressive 1:05.02, finishing 4th. Though just shy of a medal, this bittersweet moment has only fuelled her drive and determination, with a whole new set of goals now laid out for next season.

Her Nationals experience was a rollercoaster of hard work, tears, laughter, and the joy of friendship, connecting with fellow swimmers from clubs across England, relationships she’s built throughout the season. Reese’s passion, dedication, and focus remain at the heart of her journey.

Looking ahead, Reese faces the challenge of balancing intense training with her upcoming GCSEs, and we have no doubt she’ll manage both with grace and determination.

Adding to her inspiring journey, Reese will be taking her Level 1 teaching course at the end of September, supported by her club RTW Monson. She’s passionate about working with younger swimmers and eager to share her growing knowledge and experience with the next generation.

None of this progress would have been possible without the incredible support of sponsors like FoSS. Your generosity has empowered Reese to reach new heights and continue chasing her dreams, and for that, we are truly grateful.

Thank you for believing in her journey and being a vital part of this season’s success. We look forward to sharing even more exciting milestones with you in the year ahead!
