The Unseen Power of LOVE

Lately, I have been reflecting on how much we all need connection, not just with those close to us, but with the world as a whole.

It’s easy to feel separate, caught up in our own struggles, but deep down, we are all connected.

Love in All Its Forms: More Than Just Romance

I have always believed that love is one of the most powerful forces in the world. And I am not just talking about romantic love, I mean the love that surrounds us in so many ways. The love you feel for your family, friends, places, animals, experiences, passions, and interests for example. Anything that moves you from within and makes your heart feel.

A few months ago, I was reflecting on how to explain the concept of believing in something unseen to someone who wants to expand their spirituality or does not believe in anything. Then, a thought of inspiration came to me. I could explain it by saying something we all know about: Love isn’t something that can be physically seen, proven, or held in your hands.

Much like esoteric practices or spiritual beliefs, love is something you feel, express, sense, and share. It’s more of a sensation, a presence that manifests through, words, emotions, touch, acts of kindness and connection.

This is how I would explain the unseen to those who want to expand their beliefs beyond what is physically visible.

Love is just that, it exists, you can feel it, but your perception of it depends on your experiences, beliefs, & circumstances.

How Our Perception of Love is Shaped by Experience

For example, someone who associates love solely with romantic relationships, especially if they’ve been deeply hurt and haven’t yet healed, might see a happy couple expressing affection and feel pain or resentment. It may remind them of their own heartbreak. On the other hand, someone who has healed from past wounds or holds no negative associations with love might see the same couple and feel joy, inspiration, or warmth.

What Does Love Really Mean to You?

We all have different love languages, which is why, in romantic relationships, it’s so important to recognise and understand how your partner expresses love. Everyone has their own unique way of showing affection, whether through material gestures, physical touch, words, quality time, acts of service or other forms of expression.

At its core, love holds the same essence, but its meaning and expression depend from person to person. Sometimes, the way someone expresses love may not be immediately visible, or even recognisable to us because we all give and receive love differently. Understanding this can help us build deeper connections and appreciate love in all its forms.

So, what does love really mean to you? Can you feel it? Touch it? See it? Or is it something we believe in without fully perceiving it in a physical form?

Love as the Foundation of Spiritual & Religious Teachings

In many spiritual and religious teachings, love is considered the foundation of everything. While I am not religious myself, I do believe that many concepts and teachings are extremely powerful, no matter what religion or spirituality you follow, ultimately they lead to the same truth:

Love is the most powerful force we can experience in this lifetime & beyond.

As stated in religious teachings: “You must love your neighbour as yourself.” “Love thy neighbor”

Through my spiritual journey, I have embraced this idea more deeply. I have learned that we can send love to anyone, anywhere, to people, places, and even the universe itself.

Opening our hearts to both give & receive love is a beautiful practice, one that has the potential to make the world a better place for all.

And I know this can be really tough for some people, it was for me in the past. But even extending it to those who have hurt you or those you have struggled with is an act that can help balance and release any negative energy or karma between you.

Love transcends time, space, and even personal familiarity. We don’t have to know someone to send them love. We can simply set the intention to open our hearts, to give and receive love freely, and to acknowledge the deep connection we all share.

A Guided Meditation to Expand Your Heart

This is why I created a 10-minute guided meditation, to remind us that love is infinite and always available. In this short practice, you will focus on opening your heart, sending and receiving love, and experiencing a deep sense of connection and peace.

Imagine what could happen if more of us made this a practice. A world where love, healing, and support flow effortlessly between us, no matter who we are or where we come from.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to take a few minutes to try this meditation ❤️
